Program 63: A Visit With Renate
In April, 2002, Renate came from Germany to tour the outreach centers for blind people throughout the United States. While visiting St. Louis, she
shares her story during the monthly meal at All Nations Christian Blind Outreach. Though angry with God when she lost her sight at the age of 19,
Renate shares how God has helped her to build a life filled with work, friends, her guide dog, her family, and service to Him.

Program 61: A Confusion Of Standards, or Thinking about perfection
Cecilia and Pastor, forgetting for the moment that they are supposed to be recording a program, get into a disagreement over the wording of a promo.
This leads to a much friendlier discussion about what it means to be perfect. We look at what the Bible says about being perfect, and share some
thoughts about dealing with our own imperfections as well as those of others.
As Cecilia impatiently waits for an important phone call, Pastor Dave shares some thoughts on being patient. We learn that impatience leads to
grumbling. Some ideas for dealing with other people in a patient manner are also discussed, as is the idea of shielding emotions so as not to easily
hurt or be hurt by others.
Music: Give Thanks
Show 59, The Art Of Active Listening
Cecilia and Pastor Dave talk about the difference between hearing and listening. They discuss the concept of silence, speculating on why so many blind people are not comfortable with silence. Cecilia then explains the
idea of active listening, showing some correct and not-so-correct ways to listen to someone else.

Show 58, Milktoast Versus Hotcakes, or Passive Versus Aggressive
Aggressive
Mr. Milktoast and Miss Hotcakes start things off by introducing the topic. Mr. Milktoast can't seem to get one sentence out without apologizing for it, while Miss Hotcakes thinks the world owes her everything. Then, Pastor
Dave shares the story of the blind man who cried out for Jesus' help. Later, Pastor Dave is faced with a very interesting job interview, while Cecilia deals with a guy who thinks everything in life is an emergency. Finally, the two gather around a lunch table to discuss their morning's events.

Journey Home, Laurel Jean
Cecilia begins by talking about the mission in which she and Pastor Dave work. She then turns things over to Pastor Dave who preaches a wonderful sermon on the story of the dry bones as recorded in the book of Ezekiel.
Are there ever times when we are stuck in the middle of a valley of dry bones? If so, what can we do about it? Is there a way to make dead, dry bones come to life?
Music: Song Of The Holy Spirit, Laurel Jean
Show 56, Walking With God In Daily Devotion
Cecilia and Pastor Dave share the Easter celebration with their Faith Matters friends. The story of Easter leads them to a discussion of daily Bible study. Is it really necessary to study the Bible every single day? You might be surprised at the answer to this question.
Music: He's Alive, Don Francisco
During this program, first aired on Holy Thursday, Cecilia and Pastor Dave share the story of what took place in the hours before Jesus Christ's death. Christ's friends betrayed him, denied him, abandoned him, yet he forgave them, just as he forgives us. Even knowing what Jesus did for us, we often find it hard to forgive others. Pastor Dave and Cecilia share some of their own experiences and thoughts as, making clear the fact that, just
as Jesus forgave, he also helps us to forgive.
