SLICE & BAKE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 

1 c. softened butter
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. plus 6 tbsp. flour, unsifted
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
18 oz. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix dough in the order above. Wrap dough in wax paper. Chill 1 hour until firm. Divide 

dough. On wax paper, shape dough into 9 inch roll. Roll in wax paper.
Chill up to 1 week. Freeze up to 8 weeks. To bake, slice into 1 inch slices. Divide into 

quarters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
