I think I will cook the rice first, brown the chicken, then mix everything and this time bake it in the oven for 30 minutes.
It was so yummy last time, at least the chicken. Smile.

I have had similar problems in some of my rice dishes. I have learned to cook the rice before putting it in the dish. So to answer your question, I would cook it before putting in the dish & then follow the rest of the directions for the recipe.
