[CnD] Candied Carrots

1 pound carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons chopped nuts
Place carrots in 3 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt. Pour water in
along the side of the cooker. Cover; cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, or until
carrots are just tender. Drain. Stir in butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Cover; cook on high for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts about 10 minutes
before end of cooking time.
Makes 3 to 4 servings. Mama's Corner.
