Olympic Athlete Marla Runyan - Wed Jan. 16th 10:30PM Eastern/7:30PM Pacific 

Marla Runyan is a legally blind track and field, road, and marathon runner. She was the first ever-blind athlete to compete in the Summer 2000 Olympics in Sydney and finished as the top American in the 2002 New York City Marathon. Ms. Runyan comes to the show to talk about her achievements and inspire our listeners to follow their athletic dreams. 



Speaking Out for the Blind airs weekly on the American Council of the Blind’s own ACB Radio. Interviewed are blind and visually impaired newsmakers and experts about topics that affect the community at heart. The show airs every Wednesday night at 10:30 Eastern/7:30PM Pacific Time and rebroadcasts every two hours the next day (Thursdays) on ACB Radio Mainstream.
