Indeed it is. Performance issues with downloading books. All I was doing
was adding books to my wish list and the site timed out last night.

I myself had this problem last night and when I was asked for the file name, it gave me a name of NLS. I checked again this morning and it said that bard was down for mateionites. Sorry for distroing that word. LOL! Just passing on my findings.

When you log in, you won't need to use Web Braille any more, because Web braille is now a part of Bard. I just grabbed a web braille book; it was downloaded as a zip file, just like talking books are; when you unzip it, you get all the volumes. There are lots of new features to explore. Just thought I'd let you know in case you haven't heard it's back up.
